Intumescent Assemblies normally require a thickness of 20 to 40 dry film depending on the substring.  Intumescent Paint can be a primer and a finished paint on a gypsum assembly. Intumescent Assemblies will last the lifetime of the structure as long as the gypsum is in tact and remains in good shape. Just like any fire wall, Intumescent Paint must be in good condition to provide stable fire protection of the Intumescent Assembly.

Even in new buildings, compliance with codes can be a major issue. Homeowner boards and property owners are litigating defective construction that does not comply with codes. Repairing defects such as incorrect nailing, wrong sheetrock and single layer ceilings require massive demolition/reconstruction and relocation of occupants resulting in prohibitive costs and delays. Most of these defects can now be corrected with FlameOFF Coatings, Inc using a Intumescent Paint in a short amount of time and at a fraction of the price of reconstruction. Intumescent Assemblies, Intumescent Paint. Any type of coatings that are provided a rating on any Intumescent Assemblies can pass toxcity smoke test and green listing. With the use of our Intumescent Paint, the customer will receive a smoke toxicity test as with any type of coatings we supply to the housing industry. Intumescent Assemblies are the future of building green with the use of coatings.

As cities face more and more problems with fire safety, tougher codes requiring substantially more difficult testing standards are being instituted and, to date, no other product can pass these standards. Fire Retardant Coatings or Intumescent Coatings must pass various test to even be considered for use in the construction industry.

With the movement to bring more residential and commercial space back into the downtown areas and with the rebuilding of decommissioned military bases, a tremendous number of buildings are being converted from one use to another. These conversions will invariably involve upgrades required by local building codes. Obviously, some of the most critical of these upgrades involve fire safety. FlameOFF Coatings, Inc  and Intumescent Coatings, is in the perfect position to assist in this area. By using FlameOFF Coatings, Inc  we save the builders time, material costs and added material weight because we merely add coats of  Intumescent  Coatings and Flame Retardant Spray in lieu of changing the type of construction or demolishing/rebuilding to add sheetrock or sprinklers.
